In case you have not heard our good friend Artie Wood has been diagnosed with cancer. He went into the hospital a couple of days ago complaining of back pain. After running a series of test they discovered a tumor on his kidney that is cancerous. They also found the cancer in his lungs. Needless to say, he is going to have some rough times moving forward and we should all keep him in our prayers. To help Artie out we have put together a fundraising weekend May 25th and 26th. We hope everyone can attend at least one event. If you cannot make it please click on the donation link below to help in any way that you can, every little bit helps! - There will be a raffle for a metal basket and a disc golf bag. If you have any new or slightly used discs that I can use in the raffle, it would be greatly appreciated. I could also use additional prizes if you have something you would like to add to the raffle. - BDGA shirts will also be available for sale, $20/ea, all proceeds will be going to help out Artie. - Note to Sunday players league will be $10 and we are bumping up the ace payout to $200! - Heritage Ace will also be set at $200!

Edwin and Joe selling BDGA decals. They are $3 a piece and all the money goes to the club. Thanks Jerry for the generous donation.

Board of Directors Meeting May 20th, 2012 Easterlin Park -The board of directors meeting was called to order by Greg Patient at approx. 12:30pm - Board members present: Greg Patient, Joe Holmes, Edwin Ortiz, Tim Leo, Mike Lennon, and Artie Wood. - Others present TJ Chappel, Bob Mikell, Charles Summers, Ken Demarco, and Linda Lennon - Budget report: A budget report was given by the treasurer Joe Holmes. It was reported that the club now has a bank account at PNC bank. Joe Holmes and Greg Patient have access to the account. The club currently has $2,666.00.
